DC Jazz Festival Review by Bridget Arnwine
DC Jazz Festival Review
June 7, 2013 Examiner.com writer Bridget Arnwine gave a glowing review of our performance at the DC Jazz Festival’s opening night at The Hamiliton.
Excerpt :
As to be expected from a man of Abadey’s musical talents, the performance was awesome even though the very noisy VIP section threatened to overpower the group’s dynamic sound. Each musician contributed something special on the bandstand. Their playing sounded equal parts respectful tribute and exploratory journey, which added a nice new way to listen to Shorter’s music.
